EDUCATION:  Bachelor's Degree from University of Florida, Gainesville, Florida; Working on a Master's Degree from University of Alaska, Fairbanks; Studied Massage Therapy at Kindred Spirits Massage School & Therapeutic Massage Clinic in Fairbanks, Alaska; over 520 hours in anatomy, physiology, kinesiology and pathology studies.

PRACTICE PHILOSOPHY:  I am continually reminded of the importance of balance between mind, body and spirit as I study massage therapy.  It is a healing art form that every "body" should experience.

WHY I DO WHAT I DO:  I am driven to help people.  Whether I am working in a classroom of children or helping people to care for their bodies.  I am always learning and I am always eager to share with others what I have learned.  Massage therapy helps me to connect one-on-one with people by offering healing through touch.  It gives the client a sense of well-being, it offers a state of relaxation, it creates a calming throughout the systems of the body and sends the body positive messages that afford it the opportunity to heal itself.  Many people are looking for natural methods to pain relief, stress relief and healing.  I know that massage therapy offers that alternative, naturally.

A LITTLE BIT MORE ABOUT ME:
I attended the University of Florida and graduated with a degree in English.  I worked for The New York Times Company for five fast-paced years then I began teaching school after my daughter was born.  I have taught school now for over 26 years and I have been a school principal for 8 years.  My husband and I also owned a commercial construction business for 12 years.  I have an innate interest in helping people heal from the stresses of daily life, something I am very familiar with. I have discovered through my studies profound knowledge in ancient Eastern medicines.  I am committed to offering a holistic approach to healing, good health and overall well-being through my practice.
